The NAMCOB team under the supervision of Dr. Katta Ludynia (SANCCOB) and Rodney Brady (NNF) had an exciting task to set-up the first ground-reader on Halifax Island. The ground reader is intended to help with monitoring of Penguin population. The ground reader detects the transponder chips in individual penguin that were either released from the rehabilitation Centre (SANCCOB) or administered with transponder chip at their respective colony. The next move is to administer more transponder chips.
